Trip Overview

We flew directly from Abu Dhabi Airport to Colombo with Etihad Airways and spent 7 nights exploring Sri Lanka, beginning our journey in Kandy. To ensure safety and affordability throughout most of our trip, I opted to hire a driver. Starting from Colombo Airport, our driver accompanied us throughout our journey, taking advantage of accommodations and facilities provided by the hotels, allowing him to stay with us for the entire trip. Our travels took us to various towns including Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Yala, and Mirissa. We experienced the famous train ride, went on a safari, learned local fishing techniques, and visited a turtle sanctuary.
